Who you are

You are a Front End Developer with a passion for accessible and semantic markup. To you, CSS is an art, and you love JavaScript with all its idiosyncrasies. IE is like your little brother, and you take pride in teaching it new tricks. You understand that change is a given in this fast paced industry, and that excites you. You will enjoy working closely with a team of designers, frontend and backend developers, and you strive to deliver world class user-centred interface solutions across both web and mobile.
 
What you'll do
  • Working closely with UX and the rest of the Webshop team you'll develop accessible, semantic and beautiful interfaces, using HTML5, CSS3/SASS.
  • Extend the interactivity of the browser with JavaScript frameworks and templating engines such as, Backbone.js, React and Dust.js.
  • Work with internal stakeholders throughout the project life-cycle and ensure project work is completed to brief and timescales.
  • Keep a keen eye on the latest industry trends and techniques and love applying them as part of your day-to-day work.
  • Be part of a team in an agile development environment
What we would like to see from you
 
You’ll be an experienced Front End Developer with strong written and verbal communication as well as the skills listed below.
 
  • OO JavaScript
  • CSS3

  • Modern CSS techniques and pre-processors (SASS/LESS)
  • Accessibility
  • Cross-browser development/unit testing
  • Mobile web development
Bonus:
  • Experience/Understanding of AMD patterns
