Vacancy description

To support the supply chain for existing and future engineering and installation works, within a complex electro mechanical environment. Create and maintain a computerised system to monitor demand for purchased items for all work streams. The role will encompass liaising with different work streams and suppliers, to ensure that orders are placed and tracked in line with customer demand while maintaining appropriate supporting process and information. Also duties as required to facilitate ongoing engineering management activities. Numerate, logical and highly effective at managing data.

Role and Responsibilities 

  • To liaise where required with internal and external teams to support data and administrative control
  • Create and maintain computerised system to monitor demand for purchased items for all work streams
  • Maintain scheduling plans for supply chain
  •  To raise purchase orders
  • Monitor receipts and returns against purchase orders
  • Support management of KPI activities across internal customers and external suppliers
  • Highly numerate and proficient with Excel
  • Support of supplier documentation packages and control systems to monitor and update progress
  • To support activities as required by the automation engineering team
  • Work with Development team to introduce new products effectively
  • Undertake duties as required to support supply chain activities including quality and engineering activities across
  • the engineering supply chain

 

Skills Required

  • Demonstration of analystical skills
  • High level of computer literacy. Ms Office and Excel
  • Aptitude to control documentation
  • Understanding of document control and quality systems
  • Experience and awareness of administration systems
  • Thorough understanding of MRP process
  • Good level of written and verbal skills
  • Capable of working independently and able to work with others to meet targets and deadlines
  • Attention to detail, pro-active, analytical and process drive.
